Creative Photographic Society Undergoes a Makeover

Creative Photographic Society recently made some changes that most of you probably didn’t even notice.  While the website does resemble what was previously visible, the “back-end” programming and design has changed somewhat.  One drawback is that not everything is back online as we are still testing a few features and determining which method we will use going forward for those features.

Another drawback, is that due to our lack of events for the last several months, combined by the need to “clean” our email database, we decided not to maintain the old database for our eNewsletter service, so you will need to sign up again.  We apologize for the inconvenience, but we think it was the best course of action in the long run.  Additionally, we have wiped out our user accounts for those of you accessing the back end as a CPS member.  As you can imagine, there were quite a few “spam” accounts which needed to be deleted and we are looking at other options for event sign ups.  We are looking into a “membership” program, which would bring back user accounts, but that is not determined yet, and not presently in the works for implementation.

We do hope the new design and features will be beneficial for you and that they will be received well.  We do welcome feedback, as always, whether positive or negative, though we prefer the negative to be formed into constructive criticism so we can use it to better serve you all.
